Learn to Play the guitar in English: The course has been designed to provide extra curricular activities for English speaking school children.  Group lessons will be prepared to participate in a recital at Christmas time and at the end of the school year.  Students learn to sing and accompany themselves to Christmas carols, traditional songs, pop songs, rock or any other style they wish.  Class size is limited to 8. The course will be held by a Canadian native English teacher, ensuring the teaching of a perfect pronunciation. He is currently working as a lector in high schools and has been teaching English for more than 15 years. Moreover, he graduated at the“J. Tomadini” Music Conservatory of Udin and has been teaching music for more than 15 years.

Learning by singing: This course, unique in its kind all over the region, is intended to teach children simple words and sentences of the English language through the learning of traditional, folk and educational songs, combined with games and didactic activities. Children will be gathered in a group in order to form a chorus and will be prepared for Christmas recitals, shows and other events that will take place during the course. In the lyrics of these songs can be found all the words that are generally taught in primary and middle schools, including animals, colors, alphabet’s letters, numbers, seasons, Christmas and more. The teacher himself writes and composes cheerful and funny educational songs for children. The course will be held by a Canadian native English teacher, ensuring the teaching of a perfect pronunciation. He is currently working as a lector in high schools and has been teaching English for more than 15 years. Moreover, he graduated in classical guitar at the“J. Tomadini” Music Conservatory of Udin and has been teaching music in several schools for more than 15 years.

Grammar Classes for Children: Classes are offered for all age groups and are intended to emphasize PLAYING with the language.  The lessons are intended to supplement work that children are now doing in school which is more grammar and language rule based.  We do as much CONVERSATION as possible, encouraging the students to utilize what they know in more of GAME FORMAT.  Class size is limited to 10.

Beginning and Intermediate Grammar/Conversation: We have invited back Luca Mercatelli to teach the basic grammar levels to adults.  We have had so much success and compliments on his behalf we plan to continue.  Luca has a very organized approach to teaching, a structure which allows students to see their own improvement and growth with the language.  Conversation is emphasized as much as possible during the teaching process. Class size is limited to 10.

Advanced Intermediate Conversation: This will be primarily a discussion class with basic grammar rules reviewed and a regular basis.  The teacher will be

Advanced Conversation: The novità this year is a new format for the advanced students.  Instead of the regular classes of discussion intermixed with a bit of grammar, we will have more of a realistic presentation of the language using native speakers as lecturers and then one of our teachers as a facilitator of the conversation afterwards.

On Fridays from 6:30-8:30, we will invite guest speakers to lecture on a topic of their choice for one hour.  Students can choose to sit in on only the lecture.  The second hour will be discussion driven using Dario Viviani as the facilitator of the conversation, given the topics presented during the lecture.

Price includes membership to the Association and use of library for one year, payable in three installments.  If you choose to pay the full amount all at he beginning of the year you receive a 10% reduction.  Classes are limited to 10 students except in the case of Imparo Cantando and Advanced Lectures/Conversation.

As a kick off year, we will offer the class at a discount for those who sign up for the full two hours all year, that is €400 for 60 hours.  If you’d like, you can also sign up for the lectures only at €250/year and/or “any 10 lessons” at €200.  A schedule of the topics for the lectures will be available at all times on our website.  We will make sure that the discussion half of the lesson will not become too large so that sound conversation can take place.  But for the lecture half, there is no class limit.

Individual lessons are available for all the above, except for “Imparo Cantando” for €30/lesson.
